Jack: there's a difference between killing in war and outright murder.

One is for want of ideology (when best applied) and the other is just want. Following orders isn't murder unless they're helpless.

the only person you will ever get away with killing is yourself.
but id say its better to kill yourself then someone else.

but if it ever came down to a life or death situation. where someone will be dead at the end involving me, id have no problem killing the other person.

Jack: on a serious note, have you talked to a councillor about this? If it eats at you, you shouldn't repress it, it's like carrying a sack of rocks, you can put it down and walk away from it.

I haven't had to draw my weapon in defence, but, if I did, I know it'd weigh on me. Hell, there are other situations that going on that I've got to see a specialist about (Which are not going to be discussed here). It helps, even though there are good and bad days... getting it off your chest is liberating.

On a comical note, for the amount of work I'd have to put into making it impossible to track me, I'd be damned skippy to enjoy it!!!

Killing does not condem you to hell. Murder does. Where the outcome may be the same they are two very different things.

Your original quote does not resemble a joke at all. Once again when someone gets called out on something, they can only respond by saying "I was only kidding" or "It was just a joke".

if you want to get technical, there's this set of rules...

they call them the Ten commandments, you see...

one of them? "Thou shalt not kill." ergo: yes, you will go to hell if you kill.

furthermore, Terry, i agree with GAM. if you're harboring old problems from the past, it'll do nothing but fester and either you'll explode into a monster, or it'll kill you off early. get psychiatric help.

That is a very common mistake lilbit. That is an incorrect translation of the comandment. The CORRECT translation is ....... "Thall shall not do murder unto another " Hebrew is a tough language to translate even now days. Back when the first translation of the bible was done they made a mistake one they never corrected and now we have the incorrect commandment of thall shalt not kill. Just as it was incorrectly translated as thall shall not steel. The correct translation is "thall shall not steel another person " Not steel FROM another person. These are laws that God handed down, why would God care if your whatever gets stolen?

Of course getting someone in the Catholic Church to admit mistake is next to impossible so don't go asking your favorite priest as he'll SWEAR they are correct.
No for the correct translation try a launguage expert the sort that the History channel had
translate the original texts and this is what they came up with. 2000 years of mistake
still means its a mistake.

Killing is allowed but murder is not.

Why i don't take any modern bible seriously...but wasn't the original bible not in Herbrew, and in Aramaic or something?

Steel? is that anything linke Bronzing? (had to bust your chiops on that one)

As for me, No one I'd like to kill--i can think of worse punishments. I can think of no less than 15 people that i'd feel justified in taping their eyelids open and making them watch Roseanne Arnold and Rosie O'Donnel wrestle in gravy--which is worse than death IMHO.

Yup, you've figured it out. You're the man with all the answers.

Perhaps, and just perhaps, you should maybe keep your little comments to yourself, because instead of coming off looking like a smartass, you came across as a jackass. Especially in a thread where everyone is joking around about it.

Because, yes, I am so serious about this that I would go on a public forum and put the fact that I have a list of people I want to kill out in the open.

Grow up? Riiiight...

pure cahhhhhhh-medy...yet again.

alot of people have senses of humor, they just will not always agree with yours.... but glace has a point about humor and getting called out.

its a public forum so everyone is entitled to share their comments. something EVERYONE has to deal with....

oh well... and just for the record, my opinion is pretty much the same as glace's view.... so its not differing

as for the question of the post....

no reason to kill. no reason to advance someone for a kill.

the miitary i see a bit differently though..... in war its kill or be killed. many only get one "shot"...

now on the other hand with no killing....cool.... but brutally beating the shhhhhh outta someone who pretty much can use it and to convey a serious message.... more favorable to that.

Nothing to do with the topic, but just a little note for everybody:

One word: Tact.

It's an important attribute, you'd be surprised on how far you can get on just a little bit.

Right now, I'm demonstrating it.
