Twenty Thousand

Exactly 5 years and 3 months ago, j-body.org was launched, as a personal project to get j-body members unified, and provide a central place for information for those people. Over the years the idea, and the site have grown exponentially. The concept has grown, and evolved into the GM Enthusiast Network - a network of similarly-minded web sites. Though at this time only one other site, Ecotec Power is live, the network will continue to grow.

Today we have reached another milestone in the growth of both this site and the network. GME now boasts 20,000 members!

I'm happy to be a part of J-Body. Man, I can remember when it was only like 1500 or so members....

Congrats to everyone who made it happen!
Even though I'm still a newbie, I'd like to say one thing: May GME and J-Body live on forever

I remember the early days. There were very few parts available back in 99 when I first joined (really thought it was late 98, but if its only 5 years old...). We were so anxiously waiting for the pacesetter header. RK was just starting to come out with parts, manta parts was the only place to go for performance stuff. we were hand making CAI's because they weren't available. Johnny Mack and Domanic (Fastdomo at the time) were working on turbo charging. The technic was out and we were all pissed off that they did not sell it. Boy times have changed. So many turbo 2.4l's now and tons of performance parts. Nice to see the place hold up. Now if it could only be layed out like www.vwvortex.com it would be even better
Gotta love the 1.8T

For the record, i've ALWAYS loved the layout of the site, and hope it doesnt change, all the changes so far have been great. The layout of the forums is different than all the other forums i've visited, and i like it...doesnt seem like the "same ole same ole." The uniqueness is one of the many aspects i love about the .org.
Dave, you've done a kickass job with the site, and i know everyone on here appreciates what you do for us all. YOU ROCK DAVE!!

That's an impressive record growth.

Hats off to those responsible.

One has to wonder if the next generation of Cavaliers aka Cobalts will create more involvement?
