A few months ago i talked with Kevin @ twm performance about a short throw for the Saturn ION. Fast forward today and it's available on the site.

I installed this shifter about a month or so ago, been sitting on the desk for about two.

first off let me say this is the single best part i've bought for the ion yet. the shifting is so much better, it's solid, there is no flex like the stocker had. you guys really have to see this: http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshifters/saturnshortshifters/saturn-ion-shortshifters.htm

This is the shifter after installation, before the console went back on. The install was fairly easy, the hard part was finding all the screws and clips saturn hid in there. the twm instructions will detail these.

This is the shifter after the console went back on. everything fits excellent and the feel is phenomenal. i fell in love with my car again.

excuse the mess in my car, i was so excited about getting this shifter that cleaning the car out seemed less important.

Seriously check out the twm site. there are cheaper shifters out there but they come nowhere near this unit.

for one: it's a machined solid billet piece, not a cheap casting.
for two: it includes solid aluminum bushings to replace the stock rubber ones that mount the shifter base to reduce flex even further
three: They include their solid aluminum weighted knob. The other one i bought came off and this one went on and stayed.
