Well, I don't have a Cobalt but I can say this right now. NO PACESETTER EXHAUST!! They are prone to rust quickly and a bunch of people on Jbody.org have had problems with them!

That being said...

I wouldn't go with DC Sports for exhaust either, no particular reason, just don't seem like the place to go to for exhaust.

Now my father has a Vette with Corsa on it and it sounds mean as hell! Of course you won't get the same sound out of a 4 banger as you would a nice V8, but I'm sure the engineering and craftsmanship is top notch.

I personally have Magnaflow on my Cavy and like the sound, although it could be a bit deeper.

By adding resonators you can change the tone of the exhaust drastically.

Or you can go to your local shop and have them fab some pipes (mandrel bent) and put on the muffler of your choice. Then add resonators as you wish. It's cheapest that way.

Hope this helps you out a bit.

Ha, you might be waiting awhile for more people!!! Afterall, it took me 2 days to answer...

Check out the .org and click on 'performance'. You will find many posts on exhaust and what peoples opinions are. Sure your car is different, but mainly the same jist for everything.

Happy hunting!

i am also on a few of the bigger cobalt forums.....is it against the rules to mention them?

my way of thinking is that people will come eventually, we just need to get some good topics going any other ideas?

Considering the Cobalt is new for 2006, or is it 2005? Well, whatever... but people won't be finding these sites if they're not interested in modifying their cars. Others will not find these sites just for spite. Time will only tell who is to come. Give it a year and this site should be booming.

And I don't see why you couldn't post the other Cobalt forums name. I'm actually interested myself. Send me a PM if you don't wish to say them.

The people at pacesetter could care less, and the techsupport is.. well lets just say less than help full, i justr switched from my 03 cav to a new cobalt and i am goin w/ magna flow

I say go with the Vibrant Performance Catback Exhaust system. Sounds Great, I have it on my L61 Ecotec and it sounds great. My buddy Jon also has a Vibrant Catback on his Cobalt SS Supercharged. Check out www.neverenoughauto.com , that is where we got our catbacks from. Great customer service.

I had a Vybrant cat-back installed on my 98 sunfire 2.2 for 3 years now and never polished it.
There is a wee bee of rust around the end of tail-pipe,but other than that it's in good cond.
Oh yeah it sounds great too ;P
